Manufacture of plasticizers
Primaries
They are essential for the formulation of flexible PVC. Its molecular weight is generally less than 390 UMAS (atomic mass units).
Supplementary products
In addition to giving flexibility to the compound, they provide various additional properties, such as flame retardancy, thermal stability, etc.
Secondaries
They do not provide a solvation to the PVC, but are used as a filler.
Polymeric
They have low solvation in the PVC compound, and their main characteristic is to prevent the extraction of primary plasticizers.
